The UFC held a press conference in Australia yesterday to officially announce a number of the bouts coming to February's UFC 127 event at the Acer Arena in Sydney.

In addition to the co-main event bouts in B.J. Penn vs. Jon Fitch and Michael Bisping vs. Jorge Rivera, the UFC announced that the main card will feature George Sotiropoulos vs. Dennis Siver, Kyle Noke vs. Chris Camozzi and Carlos Condit vs. Chris Lytle.

They also confirmed a preliminary card bout between James Te Huna and Alexander Gustafsson, as well as announcing a previously unreported bout between Anthony Perosh and Tom Blackledge.

Perosh stepped in on short notice this February to meet Mirko Cro Cop at UFC 110, losing in his third Octagon appearance and first since 2006. Blackledge is making his UFC debut, though he hasn't fought since 2009. He was supposed to debut at UFC 120 in October, but due to a number of injuries he eventually was pulled from the card.

UFC 127 will air live on pay-per-view in North America on Saturday, February 26, with the live event in Australia taking place on Sunday, February 27 due to the time delay.

Penick's Analysis: This is a very entertaining card on paper for Australia. The main card should have plenty of action, and the undercard will give a few fighters from overseas a chance to make an impression. I'm slightly surprised in them using Perosh again given his 0-3 mark in the UFC, but he's a local guy and took the Cro Cop fight on short notice so I'm sure that's the reasoning behind it. But all in all this should make for a good pay-per-view event.
