Well, I'm nothing if not eminently rational. So I'll watch TUF live because it starts an hour earlier than the Strikeforce show, and then watch the Strikeforce show off of my DVR immediately thereafter. Considering all the useless commentary and segments on your typical Strikeforce production, I should be able to get through that show in about 42 minutes or so.

I will always take UFC over Strikeforce no matter what the card is. UFC production is always miles better than Strikeforce and the cards always seem to be more exciting. Strikeforce may have a main event that I will tune in for. But for the majority of the night my eyes will be fixed on UFC.

I have to go with the TUF 12 Finale as my live choice. The match-ups appeal to me a bit more. Kendall Grove vs. Demian Maia should be a hell of a fight. I'm also very interested in seeing if Jonathan Brookins will be able to get past the athleticism of Michael Johnson. Brookins had a harder time with Kyle Watson than his previous opponents, but he'd still be my pick to win it all. Johnson is improving in his own ways, though. It should be a close fight, and a good one. The Strikeforce card has some good match-ups as well, the main one for me being Paul Daley vs. Scott Smith. I want to see what Smith does at welterweight. But the UFC card edges out the Strikeforce card in my eyes.

Michael Johnson vs. Jonathan Brookins is an awesome final. I agree with Dana White when he says the finale is going to be fun. The pure athleticism of Michael Johnson and the overall incredible MMA game ofJonathan Brookinsshould make for one of the best TUF finals we have seen. Before the semi final fights, I picked Johnson to win it all. After the wayJonathan Brookins controlled Kyle Watson, I am picking Brookins to win with an early submission.

Even though I haven't had the chance to catch much of the Ultimate Fighter this season, I'll still watch the live finale for two reasons. One, it's on Spike, which I can at least go home or to a bar and watch. Two, Strikeforce is on Showtime, which no bars seems to carry, and there's just not as compelling a build for it as is the Ultimate Fighter finale. I may not know the fighters, but at least there is something there for me to invest in. I'm not sold on Dan Henderson or Babalu Sobral. Sorry Strikeforce, UFC wins again.

On December 4 the UFC and Strikeforce clash heads and I have to say, Strikeforce has the better card with Henderson headlining against fellow veteran Renato ?Babalu? Sobral. The TUF Finale showcases Ultimate Fighter legend Stephan Bonnar fighting the next-to-no-name Igor Pokrajac. What an odd choice for a main event?Really the only reason I'll be recording Zuffa's production is because it's free and it's got the Rick Story vs. Johny Hendricks bout.On the other hand Strikeforce has a good main event, and a couple other intriguing matchups, in particular the potential slugfest between Paul Daley and Scott Smith.
MIKE BACIOR, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
I will DVR both, and watch Strikeforce closer, because I really like a few of those matchups such as Lawler-Lindland and Smith-Daley. But Bonnar is one of my favorite fighters, so I will certainly watch him live.

I'm going to a holiday party that night, but the first event I cue up from my DVR will be Strikeforce. It features more meaningful (in a rankings sense) and interesting fights than the TUF Finale.
GRIFFIN MARSH, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
The UFC's TUF 12 Finale card is stacked with many more solid fights than the Strikeforce card, but when is that not the case? The TUF Finale has everyone's favorite (or should be everyone's favorite!) The American Psycho taking on the Croation Igor Pocrajak, TUF finals Jon Brookings vs. Michael Johnson and Demian Maia vs. Kendall Grove. While Strikeforce's event merits some respect matching up two fighters far past their primes in Dan Henderson and Renato Sobral, the UFC's TUF Finale Card has much more potential for exciting fights. Which will I watch? Both, DVR is a wonderful thing!
JASON AMADI, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
I'll watch both events, but I'll probably watch the Strikeforce event live and DVR the TUF 12 finale. Renato Sobral vs. Dan Henderson is an interesting matchup, Robbie Lawler vs. Matt Lindland has title implications, and Paul Daley vs. Scott Smith should be an absolute war. While Demian Maia vs. Kendall Grove should be interesting, Stephan Bonnar vs. Igor Pokrajacand the actual TUF finaledon't exactly command my immediate attention the way the Strikeforce card does.
